Charity gala raises money for children's hospice service

A charity gala featuring a three-course meal and an evening of entertainment has raised more than £50,000 for local children's hospice service Shooting Star CHASE as well as OneLife UK.
A charity gala has helped to raise money for a local children’s hospice service.
The event, held by Paul Strank Roofing Ltd, took place in Wandsworth on September 15.
Celebrity guests included singer Beverly Knight, Dragons’ Den regular Theo Paphitis, soap star brothers Ryan and Adam Thomas and Brooke Kinsella.
Those who attended enjoyed a three course meal and were treated to an evening of entertainment.
There were performances from comedian Tim Vine, up and coming musicians James Craise and Milly Mae and dance sensation Bryan Chambers.
There was also a performance of The Full Monty by the AFC Wimbledon squad and commercial director Ivor Heller.
In all, the evening raised more than £50,000 for two children’s charities – Shooting Star CHASE and OneLife UK.
Shooting Star CHASE provides free care for more than 500 life-limited children, teenagers and families each year.
Its catchment area covers Elmbridge and the rest of Surrey, as well as western London and West Sussex.
