Painshill Park is on the lookout for those who want to gain heritage and conservation experience while getting fit and active in the fresh air.
The venue is launching a new Heritage Landscape Volunteer Group, which will run on one Saturday per month.
Volunteers will learn new skills, carry out flora and fauna surveys, help with general garden maintenance work and help manage different habitats.
Rachel Forsyth is the training and community development manager at Painshill Park, which is located in Portsmouth Road, Cobham.
“This Saturday volunteer group is perfect for people who love the great outdoors but are stuck indoors working or studying during the week,” she said.
“We are welcoming anyone over the age of 16 and therefore it’s also great for young people who want to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
"Volunteering is a really good opportunity to meet like-minded people as we plan to have lots of social events.
“You don’t have to have experience, just bags of enthusiasm.”
Those who have completed 30 hours of volunteering annually will be given a free Painshill membership for a year.
