Bushy Park became a sea of red on Sunday (December 4) as it played host to Princess Alice Hospice’s fourth annual Santa Fun Run.

On what was a chilly day, hundreds of the charity’s supporters braved the elements and donned Santa costumes for the event.

The fastest man on the day was David Nash, from Walton, who completed the course in 20 minutes and 12 seconds.

The fastest woman, meanwhile, was Amanda Rencontre of Esher, who finished in 22 minutes and 52 seconds.

Due to the event’s continuing success and the demand for places, Princess Alice Hospice is holding two additional Santa Fun Runs at Old Deer Park in Richmond this Sunday (December 11).

Places are limited to 500 for each, with the first run taking place at 10.30am and the second at 2pm.

There are free places available for under-16s, provided that the youngsters are accompanied by a full fee-paying adult.

Entry for each run is £10 and includes a Santa suit.

For more information or to sign up for one of the events, call 01372 461869, send an email to events@pah.org.uk or visit www.pah.org.uk/santafunrun.
