Yehudi Menuhin School alumnus to perform in Walton

Cellist Michael Petrov and pianist Ashley Fripp will take to the stage this Wednesday (February 8) for a lunchtime concert at the Riverhouse Barn in Manor Road, Walton.



The latest in a series of lunchtime concerts at the Riverhouse Barn in Walton is taking place this Werdnesday (February 8).

Cellist Michael Petrov and pianist Ashley Fripp will perform Boccherini’s sonata in A major, Brahms’ sonata in E minor and Popper’s Elfentanz at the Manor Road venue.

Born in Bulgaria, Mr Petrov began to play the cello at the age of six and took a full scholarship to attend the Yehudi Menuhin School in Cobham in 2005.

In 2009, he was awarded the Guilhermine Suggia Gift. He currently studies at The Guildhall School of Music.

Wednesday’s event begins with lunch at 12.15pm, followed by the concert at 1.10pm. Tickets are £14 with lunch and £9 without.
