Arts venue set to host history lecture and music shows

The Riverhouse Arts Centre in Manor Road, Walton, will play host to a lecture on ancient Mesopotamia, a celebration of the humour of Noel Coward and a performance from a contemporary folk band this weekend.



There are a whole host of events taking place at the Riverhouse Arts Centre in Walton this weekend.

From 10.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday (January 28), the Manor Road venue will play host to a lecture on ancient Mesopotamia.

Tickets cost £21 with lunch or £14 without.

At 7.30pm on the same day, Gordon Peters and David Carter will celebrate the humour of Noel Coward.

They will perform 15 of his songs, including A Bar on the Piccola Marina and Don’t Let’s be Beastly to the Germans.

Tickets are £12 (£10 concessions).

Then, on Sunday (January 29), contemporary folk band Suntrap will take to the stage from 11.30am to 1pm.

Tickets are £8 for adults and £4 for children, while family tickets cost £20.
