Green light for Weybridge homes plans?

Members of Elmbridge Borough Council's west area planning sub-committee are being recommended to approve plans for new homes in Weybridge at a meeting to be held on Monday evening (September 6).


Plans for new homes in Weybridge look set to be given the go ahead at a meeting on Monday evening.

Kebbell Homes Ltd wants to build a detached two-storey building following the demolition of the existing house at 22 Mayfield Road.

The new construction, which would have additional rooms in the roofspace, would contain six flats.

Onslow Homes Plc, meanwhile, would like to demolish the house at 4 Woodland Grove.

The company wishes to replace this with two detached two-storey houses with basement, integral garage and additional rooms in the roofspace.

Kenneth G Hayes Ltd is looking to develop 24 to 26 Church Street.

The company wants to build a three-storey rear extension, which would have two houses on top of a basement storage area.

It also plans to construct a two-storey building comprising of a two-storey house and two maisonettes.

Last but not least, the applicant wants to convert the seven existing bedsits into three apartments following trhe demolition of a single-storey store and detached garage block.

All three planning applications are to be considered at a meeting of Elmbridge Borough Council’s west area planning sub-committee on Monday evening.

Members are being recommended to grant planning permission in all three cases.

The meeting will take place in the council chamber at the Civic Centre in Esher from 7.45pm.
