Metropolitan Police FC 0 – 0 (Ryman League Premier Division) – January 21

Metropolitan Police FC are still searching for their first Ryman League Premier Division win of 2012 following a goalless draw with struggling Aveley on Saturday (January 21).

Both sides had their goalkeepers to thank for keeping the scoreline level at Imber Court.

Blues custodian Jamie Butler pulled off a number of fine saves to deny Matt Marshall, David Knight and Sheldon Sellers.

And Aveley goalkeeper Adam Rafis showed off his skills on injury time at the end of the match, saving a volley from Ryan James and a drive from Carl Wilson-Denis.

The result means that Metropolitan Police FC have picked up two points out of a possible nine in the league since New Year's Day.

The Blues are currently in ninth place in the Ryman League Premier Division, with 41 points from 23 matches.

Their next game is tomorrow (Tuesday), when they take on Thamesmead at Imber Court in the London Senior Cup.

Kick off is at 7.45pm.
